The SupremeRAID driver behavior of maintaining 100% GPU utilization is by design. Once a drive group is created using a dedicated GPU, the GPU remains fully utilized to manage RAID processing tasks effectively. This ensures that all RAID calculations are offloaded to the GPU for maximum efficiency, freeing up the CPU for other operations.
This behavior is not configurable due to considerations around data security and I/O performance. Maintaining continuous GPU utilization guarantees that the RAID operations, such as parity calculations and data redundancy checks, are always running optimally, reducing latency and increasing the reliability of data protection mechanisms.
This design allows SupremeRAID to deliver consistent, high-speed RAID performance, particularly in environments with demanding workloads, where maintaining predictable I/O speeds is critical.
